I know you are furious but it looks like you are thinking clearly. Sending this article to the newspaper is a great idea. I know the attorney and the therapist can use this to their advantage. It is really insane hearing this. It is crazy she had no issues and suddenly this comes up to validate the wrong decision that was done earlier. It is a tactic to shift the focus. The devil is in the details and it sounds like you had them figured out.

I see the parallel and I can relate to what you are going through. Seeing officials being not fare and their biased decisions affects our children is a heart wrenching. I am not sure if the newspaper will even publish the story. One of our neighbors wrote a letter to the local paper and he claimed he knew the publisher but his letter was never published.
What they are doing is unjust and unfair. They are taking advantage of the authority given them to go after the people who they don't like. It is a country club, you are either in or out. I see the parallel and feel your pain. There is nothing I wouldn't do for my son and I am sure you feel the same way, there is nothing you wouldn't do for your daughter. Seeing her being singled out is painful. I am not trying to work you up so you do something irrational. I am pushing on the point that you need an attorney involved.
What kind of threat was made? Who witnessed the threat? Are the buses equipped with surveillance video? If yes, where is the video. If not, does the school district require the buses to be equipped with survaillance cameras? If yes, why wasn't that bus equipped? When did this incidence take place? Who else was on the bus?
Going back to when did this incdent happen? I undersatand that your daughter is at home for more than a week now. This means it happened more than 10 days ago. If the threat was real, why didn't they act on it immediately? Are they fabricating stories to shift the focus on her behavior and away from their incompetence?
YOU NEED A LAWYER
Public figures and elected officials only worry about the news during election. I also do not trust the news. TV stations down here painted my son as a villain absuing his position as a medical doctor to advantage of a medical student. They didn't make clear that she was his neighbor and he had no affiliation with where she studied. I do not trust the news. To be honest, I do not even trust the judicial system. There is a lot that I learned that supports my lack of trust. It is a game where the stronger will win. They have the power, they have the authority, and they are unethical and this is why they abuse their power. Again you need a lawyer. I am furious. It hurts me when I see the powerful preys on the perceived weak.
On the other hand, go to the news. Try to even put the story on the school website if there is an option to do that. Attend the school meetings and be vocal. I am strong believer in "The pen is mightier than the sword"
